Countdown is a UK TV programme involving words and numbers.
This is the full version.
It has taken 6 long years to create this, due to personal problems, so I apologise for that.
I hope you enjoy playing it, as much as I enjoyed eventually creating it...
The program comes pre-loaded with over 48000 single words..!

Simply click 'Start' then decide if you want to type from the keyboard, or use the Vowel and Consonant buttons.
Once you type or click a button the option is locked until the next round.
If you type in your own letters its regarded as Cheat Mode.
You can type in as many words as you wish, followed by the return key, (On the ninth letter, words are saved automatically.
What should be made clear is that the programme will only use your longest word.
In the numbers round, you select from the blue cards on the table six random numbers.
The high numbers are the four cards at the top.
The numbers will only be revealed once you have clicked on the sixth card.
You have unlimited time for calculations, and when the clock has counted down the screen will return to reveal a calculator.
It will only accept the numbers that you selected, and blocks numbers from being used a second time.
You can use this for your solution. However, try to remember the limitations of a calculator.
If you simply keep switching from plus to times, you will receive spurious results.
Therefore, its wiser to click the equal sign "=", after each calculation.
When you click the equal sign, it will store those results in smaller sections, and they will appear above in the six blue buttons.
These buttons will allow you to add and subtract from them, to get your desired result.
Finally click the "OK" button to finalise it all.
At this point you will see a button appear with the word ("RESULT") on it, click this to see the computers calculated result.
Again if you want to, you can simply use cheat mode and simply type in the number required, its really that easy!
Of course, I know you would never do that :-)?
The reason I supply cheat modes is that sometimes it can aid learning, and also avoid frustrations.
I base these versions mainly on 8 out of ten cats do Countdown.
Although Jimmy Carr is a really funny guy, he possibly finds it all very taxing :-)
Unfortunately we're not all as clever as Carol Jean Vorderman, Rachel Annabelle Riley, or Susie Dent, but don't tell them I said that :-)
The teams were always headed by the late great funny man, Sean Lock, and his challenger John Richardson, and the resulting comedy was just epic!
The Rules of Maths. (BODMAS).
Brackets.
Orders.
Division.
Multiplication.
Addition.
Subtraction.
The Bracketed parts of a calculation always come first.
Followed by Orders ( powers or square roots).
Division.
Multiplication.
Addition.
Subtraction.
Addition and Subtraction,
have equal priority
So work from left to right.
